How to choose a Liberty Spas hot tub

Liberty Spas is the hot tub brand from Canadian Spa Company. Our lineup covers the LYS4000, LYS4500, LYS5000, LYS6000 and LYS7000, plus the Chill Therapy CHILL1000 cold plunge from the same maker.

1. Seating

Listings run from a 4-person model (LYS4000) to 5 to 6 person (LYS4500), 6-person (LYS5000 and LYS6000) and 7-person (LYS7000). Buy for how many people will use it most weeks. Our guide what size hot tub do I need helps.

2. Power: plug-and-play or 240V

The LYS4000 and LYS4500 are listed as plug and play, while the LYS5000, LYS6000 and LYS7000 are listed as 240V, which means a licensed electrician and a dedicated circuit. Compare them in plug and play vs 240V hot tubs.

3. Jets and features

Jet counts range from 18 to 46 across the lineup. More jets is not automatically better; seat layout and pump power matter too.

4. Site and delivery

  • A level, solid base such as a concrete pad or a deck rated for the filled weight.
  • Delivery is curbside, so plan how the tub will reach its spot.
  • Room for the cover lifter and service access.

Warranty and terms

The manufacturer warranty is listed on each product page, with 5 or 10 years on the structure and 1 or 2 years on surface and parts depending on model. Liberty Spas hot tubs are final sale under the manufacturer's dealer terms, and delivery damage must be reported within 48 hours. Financing is available.

Liberty Spas FAQ

Which Liberty hot tubs are plug and play?

The LYS4500 runs on a standard 120V, 15A outlet, and the LYS4000 runs on 120V or can be converted to 240V. The LYS5000, LYS6000 and LYS7000 are 240V tubs that list a 50A circuit and a 5.5 kW heater, so they heat faster but need an electrician.

How many people do Liberty hot tubs seat?

Our Liberty tubs seat 4 to 7 people and hold about 193 to 317 gallons. The LYS4000 and LYS4500 are the 4-person plug and play models, the LYS5000 and LYS6000 seat 6, and the LYS7000 seats 7. Each listing shows jets, dimensions and weight.

How is the CHILL1000 related?

The CHILL1000 is a cold plunge made by the same company. It has a built-in chiller and heater with a 41°F to 104°F range and runs on 110V, so it pairs with a hot tub or sauna for contrast sessions without a dedicated 240V circuit.

How does delivery work?

Liberty hot tubs ship free by curbside delivery to the contiguous U.S. Plan for help moving the tub from the curb, inspect it at delivery and report any damage within 48 hours. Hot tub sales are final, so confirm size, power and access before you order.
