North Shore Sauna FAQ

How does a tent sauna work?

A tent sauna pairs an insulated tent with a small wood stove and chimney. The stove heats stones and air inside the tent, and you can pour water on the stones for steam. It needs no electricity, so it works off-grid.

Is a tent sauna safe?

Used as directed, yes. Set it up on stable, nonflammable ground, use the stove guard and chimney supplied, keep children and pets away from the stove and never sleep in a heated tent. Follow the stove and tent manuals closely.

Which stove fits my tent?

Match the stove to the tent size the maker recommends. The XL stove suits larger tents and groups, while the standard stove suits smaller tents. Each listing shows its dimensions and what is included, such as the chimney.

How do I store a tent sauna?

Let the stove cool fully, empty the ash and dry the tent completely before packing it away so mildew cannot form. Store the tent and stove in a dry place, and check the chimney sections for damage before each use.
