2. Size it to the room

Match the kW to the room volume, with extra for glass or uninsulated walls. Use the sauna heater calculator and compare models in Harvia sauna heaters compared.

3. Controls and features

  • Built-in controls (The Wall, Cilindro PC, KIP30B) or a separate controller (Xenio).
  • Through-wall (SL) wood stoves let you feed wood from outside the hot room.

Harvia FAQ

Which Harvia heater fits my sauna?

Start with your room volume in cubic feet, then choose electric or wood. Harvia electric models here include the KIP, Cilindro, Virta, Spirit, The Wall and Club, and wood models include the M3, Legend, Linear 22, Pro 20 and Harvia 50. Each listing shows the room volume range Harvia rates it for.

What power does a Harvia electric heater need?

Harvia electric heaters for U.S. homes typically run on a dedicated 240V circuit, and the Club also offers 208V three phase for commercial rooms. A licensed electrician should size the breaker and wire to the heater you choose. Voltage and output options are listed on each product page.

What is the Harvia Xenio control?

Xenio is Harvia's digital control for its electric heaters. It mounts outside the hot room and sets temperature, session time and lighting, and some versions connect to WiFi for remote start through Harvia's app. Listings that include a Xenio control name the model that comes with the heater.

Do Harvia wood stoves need a special chimney?

Yes. Harvia wood stoves need an insulated solid-fuel chimney installed to the clearances in Harvia's manual and your local code. Some packages here include a chimney kit, and the listing says so. Through-wall SL models also need a fireproof wall opening between the sauna and the room you load from.
