The Relax Flex is a lie-down far infrared sauna. Instead of sitting upright in a tent, you stretch out flat on a reflective mat that surrounds you with infrared on both sides. It folds away between sessions, runs on a standard household outlet, and suits anyone who would rather lie down and read than sit up in a cabin.

How the lie-down format differs

The Flex uses the same patented dual FIR conductor system as the rest of the Relax range, so infrared output is consistent across models. The difference is posture and footprint. Lying flat takes the load off your lower back and knees, which is why some people prefer it after long days on their feet or when an upright tent feels confining. It also stores in a closet, which an upright cabin does not.

Who it is for

Good fit if you are short on floor space, rent, move often, or simply prefer lying down. Also worth considering if mobility makes climbing in and out of an upright unit awkward. If you want a fixed wooden cabin, a traditional high-heat rock sauna, or a unit that seats two, look elsewhere in the range.

What to expect

Far infrared units run cooler than traditional rock saunas by design, so sessions feel gentler and most people find longer sessions comfortable. Many athletes use heat after training and report less stiffness the following day. What regular use does over months and years is a separate question, and the research on infrared saunas specifically has not settled it. Our research and studies page explains how we read that literature.

A sauna is not a treatment for any medical condition and is not a substitute for medical or mental health care.

A note on the logo

Current inventory ships with the manufacturer's legacy logo on the tent. They are transitioning to a new logo shortly. Same technology, same build quality.

Why buy from Restore Suite

Your unit ships new with the full manufacturer warranty behind it. Every order includes free U.S. shipping and our best price guarantee, with financing available. Saunas are not automatically HSA/FSA eligible, but some plans may reimburse where a licensed provider issues a Letter of Medical Necessity. Your plan administrator decides, and approval is never guaranteed. Questions before you buy? Talk to a real person.
