Description
The Harvia Cilindro PC is a pillar-style electric sauna heater with the controls built into the heater. It comes in 6, 8 and 9 kW outputs for rooms from 141 to 494 cubic feet, with sauna stones.
Build
It is made in Finland from stainless steel with industrial-grade heating elements. The tall stone column takes about 200 lb of stones in direct contact with the elements, and the open grate lets heat radiate in all directions. Pour water on different parts of the stack to vary the steam from soft to sharp.
Placement
The narrow pillar shape takes up little floor space and fits against a sidewall or in a corner.
Choosing an output
The 6 kW model covers rooms up to 294 cubic feet, 8 kW up to 431 and 9 kW up to 494. Check your sauna's volume before ordering, since an undersized heater will struggle to reach temperature.

Before you buy: what to know
Based on the manufacturer's specs, manuals and our research.
- The Cilindro PC has its controls built into the heater, so there is no separate wall panel to wire. Outputs: 6 kW up to 294 cu ft, 8 kW up to 431, 9 kW up to 494.
- Its narrow pillar shape fits against a sidewall or in a corner and takes about 200 lb of stones, included. Pour water on different parts of the stack for softer or sharper steam.
- If you would rather have a digital wall panel, the Cilindro PC E comes with the Xenio CX45 control and adds a 10.5 kW option.
- An electric heater this size needs a properly sized dedicated circuit. Have a licensed electrician read the installation manual for your output before you order, and price the wiring in.
- Returns are accepted within 30 days with a 25% restocking fee on unused, unopened items. Work out your room volume first, so the output you order is the right one.
