Description
The Harvia Legend 240 GreenFlame is a 15.9 kW wood-burning sauna stove made in Finland. It has the round black steel stone cage of the Legend series, a large glass door, and GreenFlame combustion for a cleaner burn. Sauna stones are included.
GreenFlame combustion
GreenFlame controls the air intake so the wood burns cleaner. Harvia states it cuts carbon monoxide emissions by 70% compared with standard stoves and reduces particulate emissions.
Build
The large stone cage holds a heavy load of stones that keeps radiating heat after the fire has died down. The glass door shows the fire, and adjustable feet let you level the stove on an uneven floor. It is a floor-standing model.
Other Legend stoves
For a complete package with chimney, shielding and stones, see the Legend 150 stove package or the Legend 150 BK package with water heater.

Before you buy: what to know
Based on the manufacturer's specs, manuals and our research.
- The Legend 240 GreenFlame is 15.9 kW with the round Legend stone cage and a large glass door. Harvia rates GreenFlame at 70% lower carbon monoxide than its standard stoves.
- This is the stove alone with stones. The Legend 150 packages add a chimney kit and shielding if you want the install parts matched.
- The heavy stone load keeps radiating heat after the fire has died down, so you can let the fire go out and keep bathing.
- Clearances to walls, ceiling and benches come from the installation manual, and a wood stove also needs a proper chimney run. Check local code and your insurer before you build around it.
- It usually ships within 1 to 3 business days and arrives in about 5 to 10 business days, so it can be on site before your build is finished.
