The Lumara Pad is a flexible red light therapy pad that wraps around a joint or muscle group rather than shining at it from a distance. It carries three wavelengths at every LED position: 635nm red, 830nm near-infrared, and 940nm. It comes in four sizes from 11 x 11 inches up to 12 x 30 inches.

LED layout All three wavelengths at every LED position
LED spacing 5/8 inch
Sizes 11 x 11", 8 x 17", 11 x 24", 12 x 30"

Why the LED spacing matters

The LEDs sit 5/8 of an inch apart. Lumara describes this as the spacing that produces even light distribution across the covered area. Pack them closer and the pad generates more heat, which forces the optical power down. Space them wider and coverage becomes patchy. The 5/8 inch figure is the compromise between those two problems.

The three-in-one LED design

Most competing pads alternate rows: a row of red LEDs, then a row of near-infrared. That produces uneven wavelength coverage depending on where a given point on your body sits relative to the rows. Lumara puts all three wavelengths at every single LED position instead, so coverage is consistent across the whole pad regardless of placement.

Choosing a size

The 11 x 11 inch pad suits a single joint such as a knee, elbow, or shoulder. The 8 x 17 inch is a better fit for a forearm, calf, or along the spine. The 11 x 24 and 12 x 30 inch pads cover larger areas like the lower back, hamstrings, or across both shoulders. If you want to cover the whole body at once, a panel makes more sense than a pad. What red light therapy is and is not

Claims made for red light exposure vary widely in how well they are supported by evidence. We describe what this device is and what it outputs, and leave outcome claims to the research rather than to a product page. Our research and studies page explains how we read that literature.

Red light therapy is not a treatment for any medical condition and is not a substitute for medical care. If you have a diagnosed condition, talk with your doctor before starting.

Why buy from Restore Suite

Your pad ships new with the full manufacturer warranty behind it. Every order includes free U.S. shipping and our best price guarantee, with financing available. Red light devices are not automatically HSA/FSA eligible, but some plans may reimburse where a licensed provider issues a Letter of Medical Necessity. Your plan administrator decides, and approval is never guaranteed. Questions before you buy? Talk to a real person.

Frequently asked questions

What wavelengths does the Lumara Pad use? Three: 635nm red, 830nm near-infrared, and 940nm, with all three present at every LED position.

How is it different from a red light panel? The pad wraps around a specific area. A panel covers a larger surface from a distance. Many people use both.

Which size should I get? 11 x 11 inches for a single joint, 8 x 17 for a limb or along the spine, and the two larger sizes for the back, hamstrings, or shoulders.

Why does LED spacing matter? Closer spacing generates excess heat and forces optical power down. Wider spacing leaves gaps in coverage. Lumara uses 5/8 inch.
