Description
The Protocol4 P4 Red Light Capsule is a full-body clamshell light bed: the user lies on the lower bench and a powered canopy closes over them, surrounding the body with upper and lower LED arrays for 360° light exposure. It is built for recovery studios, gyms, spas, clinics and dedicated home wellness rooms with a 220V, 30A circuit.
Light output and controls
21,600 LEDs (4,320 per wavelength) deliver five installed wavelengths: 450, 525, 633, 660 and 850nm, with a 120° beam angle. Pulsing runs from 0 to 10,000 Hz with a 0 to 100% duty cycle. A touchscreen sets session time from 1 to 30 minutes, preset or manual modes, a three-speed comfort fan and Bluetooth music through two built-in speakers, with optional Wi-Fi app connection.
Build
A black canopy and bench on hydraulic support hardware, with acrylic-covered light arrays, forced-air cooling with delayed fan shutoff, and automatic temperature protection. It has no body-cooling system.

What you need to know before buying
- Space: the capsule is 76 x 34 x 32 in. Keep at least 12 in from walls and 39 in of working clearance where operator or service access is needed. Install indoors on a level, stable floor away from showers, pools, sinks, steam and direct sun.
- Power: a qualified electrician must install a dedicated 220V AC, 30A grounded branch circuit with a NEMA L6-30R locking receptacle and disconnect. No adapters, extension cables or modified plugs.
- Delivery and install: it is normally delivered assembled and weighs about 287 lb, so plan lifting equipment, enough trained people and a clear route through doors. If the canopy and bench must be joined on site, trained installers are required.
- Operation: Protocol4 states the operator should stay available during sessions, users wear approved opaque eye protection, and the timer allows a maximum of 30 minutes.

Delivery
Large items such as saunas, hot tubs and cold plunge tubs usually ship by freight. The carrier contacts you to schedule delivery. Please check the packaging and note any damage on the delivery receipt before you sign, then tell us within 48 hours so we can resolve it for you.
