Choosing a Golden Designs sauna

  • Outdoor hybrid: the Karlstad, Kaskinen, Loviisa, Visby, Nora, Carinthia and Gargellen pair an electric stove with full spectrum infrared panels, so you can choose either style of heat.
  • Outdoor traditional: the Bergen, Kaarina, Drammen, Savonlinna, Narvik, Vorarlberg and Arlberg cabins and the Zurich, Klosters, Arosa and St. Moritz barrels use a 6kW or 8kW electric stove for hot, steamy sessions.
  • Indoor infrared: the Reserve Edition line (1 to 6 person, full spectrum with a Himalayan salt bar), the 8-person full spectrum, the Catalonia and the Monaco.
  • Indoor stove and hybrid: the Soria and Toledo hybrids, and the Kuusamo, Copenhagen, Forssa, Hanko and Sundsvall traditional saunas.

What to plan for

  • Electrical: stove and hybrid models need a dedicated 240V circuit installed by a licensed electrician. Electrical needs for each sauna are on its product page. Read the outdoor sauna electrical guide.
  • Foundation: outdoor saunas need a firm, level base. See our foundation guide.
  • Delivery: curbside freight. The carrier calls to schedule an appointment, and not every address can take freight. We confirm your address and phone before we place the order. Inspect the cartons on delivery and refuse anything damaged.

Returns

Golden Designs saunas: request a return within 30 days of delivery. The sauna must be unused, unassembled and in its original packaging. Approved returns carry a 20% restocking fee, and you pay freight both ways. Orders can be canceled free within 24 hours of purchase. What is the difference between Golden Designs, Dynamic and Maxxus?

All three are made by Golden Designs. The Golden Designs line covers Reserve Edition infrared, traditional, hybrid and outdoor saunas. Dynamic and Maxxus are indoor infrared lines at lower price points.

Do Golden Designs saunas need a 240V circuit?

Traditional and hybrid models with an electric stove need a dedicated 240V circuit installed by a licensed electrician. Electrical needs for each sauna are listed on its product page.
