Description

The Icetubs IceBath is a recline-style cold plunge with a stainless steel interior, Thermowood cladding and a 60% back recline, so you lie back like a bathtub instead of standing in a barrel. It comes in Large (106.7 gal) and X-Large (132.1 gal), runs on a standard 110V outlet and suits a patio, garage or home gym.

Cooling and heating engine

The 1 HP engine cools the water to 37.4°F and can warm it to 100.4°F, so the same tub works for a cold plunge or a warm soak. Set the temperature on the engine panel or in the Icetubs app. Icetubs states the 3-stage filtration and built-in ozone system turn the water over about every 6 minutes while the pump runs.

Recline design

The tub is shaped for a reclined soak with easy step-in entry and exit. The stainless steel interior is clad in Thermowood and finished with an insulated Thermo cover.

What you need to know before buying

  • It runs on a standard 110V/60Hz grounded outlet and draws up to 14.5 A. The power cable has a built-in circuit breaker that is water-resistant, not waterproof, so protect it from rain outdoors.
  • Fill it with a garden hose; no plumbing is required. A Gardena hose attachment and drain valve make draining easier.
  • Place it on a level surface that can carry the filled weight, with good ventilation around the engine. Icetubs lists an ambient range of 23°F to 104°F.
  • Replace the filters on schedule and use only chlorine and bromine-free water treatment, per the Icetubs manual.
  • Filled, it weighs about 1,224 lb (Large) or 1,499 lb (X-Large), and it needs about 7.5 to 8 ft of floor length.

In the box

Per the Icetubs manual: IceBath tub, cooling engine with connectors and seals, engine protector, Thermo cover with clips, Gardena hose attachment set and filters.

What delivery looks like

A shrink-wrapped pallet of cartons left at the end of a driveway by a freight truck
Freight items arrive shrink-wrapped on a pallet. The carrier schedules the drop-off and leaves it at the curb or end of your driveway, so plan help or a dolly to move it from there. Example photo of a typical delivery. Your packaging may look different.

Common questions

Which size should I choose?
Large is 88.9 x 27.5 x 25.2 in with a 23.2 in interior width and about 106.7 gallons. X-Large is 96.0 x 31.8 x 28.1 in with a 26.6 in interior width and about 132.1 gallons, for taller or broader users.
What power does it need?
A standard 110V/60Hz grounded outlet. It draws up to 14.5 A, so a dedicated circuit is a good idea. Protect the cord and its breaker from rain outdoors.
How is it different from the IceBarrel?
The IceBath is a lay-down tub with a 60% back recline and step-in entry, while the IceBarrel is an upright, seated barrel with a smaller footprint.
What is included?
The tub, cooling engine with connectors, engine protector, insulated Thermo cover, Gardena hose attachment and filters.
Who should not cold plunge?
Talk with your doctor first if you have a heart condition, high blood pressure or are pregnant. Start with short sessions and never plunge alone or after alcohol.
