The North Shore Sauna Tent Wood Stove XL is the larger, heavier version of our standard tent stove. It has a wider firebox, thicker SS304 stainless steel, and room for more stones, so it gives larger tent saunas more even heat and stronger steam.
More metal, more even heat
The thicker stainless holds temperature and spreads heat more evenly over a long session. It is still portable, but at about 80 lb it is a stove for people who care more about heat output than packing light, or who use their sauna in cold weather.
Room for more stones
The XL rock basket (sold separately) holds 70 to 80 lb of sauna stones, which stores a deep reserve of heat. Ladle water over them for steady löyly, the burst of steam that rises off hot stones. It suits larger tents such as our Nova 6 and 8-person Dome sauna tents. Our sauna stones guide covers which stones to use.
XL or standard
The standard Sauna Tent Wood Stove has an 8" wide firebox, a 3.5" chimney, holds 30 to 40 lb of stones, and weighs about 45 lb. Choose the XL for larger tents and cold-weather use. Choose the standard stove for smaller tents and easier carrying.
