High heat capacity
These high-density stones are chosen for heat retention. Heat them through, splash them with water, and they give off thick steam and hold their heat across a long session.
Two sizes
The 2" to 4" stones suit a tent sauna stove. They balance quick heat-up with good heat capacity, so you can start making steam in about 30 to 40 minutes. The 4" to 6" stones suit larger stoves. They hold more heat overall and release it over a longer period.
Durable and natural
The stones are made to handle sauna temperatures and resist cracking and shattering. They are natural stone with no added chemicals and do not give off fumes or odors when heated.
Olivine Gabbro from northern Minnesota
The stones come from a 1.1 billion year old vein of northern Minnesota bedrock, a dense, mineral-rich stone that works in wood-fired and electric sauna stoves.
