ThermaSol Wellness Steam Packages Compared

ThermaSol sells its steam shower controls as packages, and the six we carry differ in two ways that matter most: whether they include a steamhead and whether they include a digital shower valve. None of them includes a steam generator. Prices on our pages run from $6,499.97 to $13,699.97.

This guide compares the six packages side by side so you can see what each one bundles before you price a build. We sell these ThermaSol products and list them with our steam shower generators and packages, so we have a stake here. Everything below comes from the manufacturer specs on our product pages, and prices can change, so confirm them on each page.

What does each package include?

The price ranges on the HydroVive packages come from the rainhead size, a 14 inch or an 18 inch option. Each of those pages also lets you choose a surface or recessed control and one of 15 finishes.

Steamhead or digital valve: which do you need?

The steamhead is where steam enters the room. ThermaSol's SteamVection steamhead is described on our pages as solid brass or brass alloy, quiet, with an essential oil well and even floor-to-ceiling heat. If you are building a steam shower, you need a steamhead from somewhere, so a package without one means you buy it separately.

The digital shower valve is a different part. It sets water temperature and pressure, and our pages say it can be installed up to 30 feet from the shower and includes anti-scald protection on the HydroVive pages. A package without a valve assumes you already have a way to control the water. The "Total Wellness" packages bundle both, which is why they sit at the top of each price range. If you are not sure which side you are missing, send us your plans and we will help you read the list.

ThermaTouch 7 or SignaTouch 5?

The six packages use two control families. The ThermaTouch is a waterproof 7-inch Android touchscreen with WiFi, Bluetooth and 30-plus apps on the round steam package, and our wellness shower page adds Alexa support and Ethernet. The SignaTouch is a 5-inch touchscreen that sets steam temperature and session length, and it can mount vertically or horizontally. Both save settings for two users. We compare the controls on their own in ThermaSol SignaTouch vs ThermaTouch, so we keep it short here. Price does not track screen size alone, because the rainhead, steamhead and valve in each package differ too, and the HydroVive packages cost more than the ThermaTouch 7 packages even with the smaller 5-inch control.

How do the rainheads and audio compare?

• ThermaTouch 7 round steam package: a round Serenity rainhead with a dual row of 164 jets, 18 high-intensity LEDs, a subwoofer and high-frequency tweeters, plus an RCA output for a third-party speaker system.
• ThermaTouch 7 wellness shower package: a Serenity module with 200 full-color LEDs and a Bluetooth v4.2 audio module. The system is rated at 9.25 GPM at 45 PSI.
• SignaTouch flushmount package: a Serenity 10 rainhead with two rows of 82 jets, 1600-lumen LED lighting with chromatherapy presets, and Bluetooth audio through a multi-channel amplifier, subwoofer and tweeters.
• HydroVive packages: a ceiling-mounted rainhead. The 5-inch steam package lists a 1.8 GPM rain shower from 120 jets, 1600-lumen LED lighting in 84 colors and Bluetooth audio with a 100-watt RMS amplifier.

Jet count, lumens and GPM are listed by ThermaSol per package, so compare the numbers on the page for the exact configuration you pick rather than assuming one family is louder or brighter.

What is not in any of the packages?

The generator. A package controls steam, it does not make it. Pair one with a generator from the same collection, sized to your steam room. Our steam generator size calculator estimates the class, and ThermaSol Pro Series I vs II vs III compares the generator lines, for example the Pro Series II. The generator also drives the electrical bill of your project, so read steam shower generator electrical requirements before you commit. For the full budget picture, see what it costs to make your shower a steam shower, and use the steam shower installation guide for the plumbing and enclosure side.

How do you read the model numbers?

Our pages list model numbers so you can match a quote or a manual. The ThermaTouch 7 round steam package is WSTP7R, and the wellness shower package is WSP7S (square) or WSP7R (round). The SignaTouch flushmount total wellness package is TWPSR. The SignaTouch 5-inch HydroVive steam package uses WH14STPSR, WH14STPSS, WHSTPSR and WHSTPSS plus a finish code, the HydroVive wellness shower package uses WH14SPSR, WH14SPSS, WHSPSR and WHSPSS plus a finish code, and the HydroVive total wellness package uses TWPH14SR, TWPH14SS, TWPHSR and TWPHSS plus a finish code. Quote the full model number, with the finish and rainhead size, whenever you ask an installer or us for help, so everyone prices the same configuration. The control side is also a good moment to think about the room itself: a sealed steam enclosure and a generator in a serviceable spot matter as much as the touchscreen, and the installation guide covers both.

Which package should you price first?

If you want the lowest entry price with steam, start with the ThermaTouch 7-inch round package at $6,499.97. If you want a steamhead and a digital valve in one box at a mid price, price the SignaTouch Flushmount Total Wellness Package at $7,499.97. If the rainhead and lighting are the point of the build, look at the HydroVive family. If you already own the valve and steamhead, the wellness shower packages may be more than you need. For the brand question behind all of this, read whether ThermaSol is a good brand, and the different types of steam generators if you are still choosing the generator.

We have no owner reviews of these packages on our store yet, so this guide rests on the manufacturer specs listed on our pages.
